Anthonius Henricus "Toon" Koster

*19.1.1913 Schiedam/NL, † 25.11.1989 Woerden/NL

Toon Koster (Anthonius Henricus) lived and worked in Nieuwkoop near the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, a region with small lakes ('plassen' in Dutch), a typical Dutch kind of landscape. Many of his paintings show that landscape in dark colours with a dark grey/green sky above it and light of the sun/moon between the clouds reflected on the water.
